Full-time positions (year-round):
Treatment Plant Operator II - Mount Washington State Park, Gorham, NH
Functions as the lead operator of both the wastewater treatment plant and domestic water systems to ensure compliance with the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) and NH Department of Environmental Services (DES) standards at Mt. Washington State Park.
Minimum qualifications: Education: Associate degree from an accredited institute of higher education with courses in mechanical or electrical subjects. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Three years of experience in the operation of wastewater or water treatment plants, or a related industry. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification: Possession of a valid driver’s license. Must obtain and maintain a NH Wastewater Treatment Facility Grade II Operator’s License within two years of employment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stay overnight on the summit in quarters provided. Typical shifts are usually 10 hour days, four days on, three days off, spending three consecutive nights on the summit.

Operates, maintains, and repairs a variety of snow grooming equipment, heavy earth moving equipment, trucks, ATVs, snowmobiles, and other maintenance/repair equipment. Constructs and maintains snowmobile, ATV, and multi-use trails on all type terrain over one third of the state.

Plant Maintenance Engineer I (Mechanic)
NH Dept. of Natural & Cultural Resources, Div. or Parks & Recreation is seeking an experienced Automotive Professional to work on vehicles and equipment. This position is full-time, permanent, year-round with excellent benefits and a great schedule, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. Our shop is based at Bear Brook State Park, Allenstown, NH.
Completion of high school, G.E.D. or its equivalent, plus two years of technical training or education in engineering or building trades. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience. Preference will be given to qualifying candidates who also possess education and experience in vehicle maintenance, to include passenger and commercial vehicles, and in the planning and execution of a vehicle fleet preventative maintenance and repair program.
